Save Money on Air Conditioning in Naples: Florida Comfort Systems Specials, FPL Rebates & 2026 HVAC Savings

Save Money on Air Conditioning in Naples: Florida Comfort Systems Specials, FPL Rebates & 2026 HVAC Savings

From affordable AC maintenance to utility rebates and new government incentive programs, here’s how Southwest Florida homeowners can save money while staying cool.

Living in Naples, Marco Island, or Bonita Springs means your air conditioner works nearly year-round. Between high temperatures, relentless humidity, and rising electricity costs, keeping your home comfortable can become expensive.

But here’s some good news: There are several ways to save money on air conditioning in Southwest Florida, and you don’t necessarily need to purchase a new AC system to take advantage of them.

Florida Comfort Systems, a family-owned, veteran-owned HVAC company serving Naples since 1985, is helping homeowners save with three special offers. Additional savings may be available through Florida Power & Light (FPL), energy-efficiency rebates, and financing programs.

Let’s look at the opportunities.

HVAC Savings

1. Protect Your AC and Electronics: FPL SurgeShield Special

No Installation Fee + Two Months FREE with Promo Code AC0389

Florida thunderstorms can create dangerous power surges that threaten expensive household electronics, appliances, and air conditioning equipment.

Your AC system contains sensitive electronic components that can be costly to repair or replace after electrical damage.

Florida Comfort Systems is promoting an FPL SurgeShield protection bundle designed to help homeowners manage this risk.

Current advertised offer:

  • No installation fee.
  • First two months free.
  • $14.95 per month, plus tax, after the promotional period.
  • Conveniently billed through FPL.
  • Use promotional code AC0389.

Power surge protection can provide valuable peace of mind, especially during Southwest Florida’s storm season. Coverage is subject to the program’s terms, limitations, and exclusions.

2. Annual AC Maintenance Agreement: Just $250 Per Year

One of the smartest ways to save money on air conditioning is to take care of the system you already own.

Your AC system works hard throughout the year, collecting dirt, moisture, and debris that can reduce efficiency and contribute to mechanical problems.

Florida Comfort Systems offers an annual maintenance agreement for just $250 per system, including two scheduled maintenance visits.

The program includes important services such as cleaning coils, flushing condensate drains, checking electrical connections, inspecting motors, testing cooling performance, and evaluating safety controls.

Additional benefits include:

  • 15% discount on replacement parts.
  • Priority customer service.
  • Improved operating efficiency.
  • Potentially longer equipment life.
  • Transferable agreement.
  • Inflation protection.

Regular maintenance can help identify small problems before they become expensive repairs.

And unlike some companies that use inexpensive AC inspections as opportunities to sell new equipment, Florida Comfort Systems believes in keeping your existing system running as long as it remains practical and reliable.

Our technicians aren’t paid commissions, so their recommendations are based on what your system actually needs.

3. $95 After-Hours AC Service Call Special

Your air conditioner doesn’t know what time it is when it decides to quit.

An AC breakdown on a hot Florida evening can quickly make your home uncomfortable.

Florida Comfort Systems offers 24/7 emergency AC service, and its current specials include a $95 after-hours service call coupon.

Offer conditions include:

  • After-hours service calls only.
  • One coupon per household.
  • Cannot be combined with other offers.
  • Expires October 31, 2026.

Call for complete details and confirm the promotional price when scheduling. The service-call offer does not necessarily include additional repairs or replacement parts.

If your AC suddenly stops cooling, don’t assume the entire system needs replacement. A professional diagnosis may reveal a repairable problem.

4. FPL Offers a $200 Rebate on Qualifying Heat Pump Systems

Thinking about replacing an older air conditioning system?

Florida Power & Light currently advertises a $200 instant rebate for qualifying energy-efficient residential heat pump installations.

To qualify, FPL requires:

  • A new heat pump system, including indoor and outdoor units.
  • A minimum SEER2 efficiency rating of 15.2.
  • Residential installation.
  • Installation by an FPL-approved Participating Independent Contractor.

When the requirements are met, the $200 rebate appears as a credit on the contractor’s invoice.

Before purchasing a system, ask Florida Comfort Systems to review the available equipment and determine whether your proposed installation qualifies, including whether the contractor participation requirement can be met.

5. Florida’s New Energy Saver Program: Potential Rebates Up to $8,000 for Heat Pumps

One of the most significant potential savings opportunities for Florida homeowners is the Florida Energy Saver Program, supported by approximately $346 million in federal funding.

The program includes two major rebate initiatives designed to reduce household energy consumption.

High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebates (HEEHR)

This program is intended for qualifying low- and moderate-income households.

Published maximum rebates include:

  • Up to $8,000 for qualifying electric heat pumps used for heating and cooling.
  • Up to $1,600 for qualifying insulation, air sealing, and ventilation improvements.
  • Up to $4,000 for eligible electrical panel upgrades.
  • Up to $1,750 for qualifying heat pump water heaters.

Eligible households may qualify for combined rebates totaling as much as $14,000, subject to income qualifications, project costs, and program requirements.

Households earning less than 80% of their area’s median income may qualify for greater assistance. Those earning between 80% and 150% may qualify for partial assistance.

Home Owner Managing Energy Savings (HOMES)

This program is designed to reward improvements that significantly reduce a home’s overall energy consumption.

Eligible improvements may include HVAC upgrades, insulation, duct sealing, and other efficiency measures.

Published single-family rebate maximums vary according to household income and predicted energy savings, potentially reaching $20,000 for qualifying lower-income households achieving substantial energy reductions.

Important: As of October 2026, these Florida programs are being introduced in phases, and the official program portal indicates that applications are not yet generally open. Homeowners should not assume that funding is immediately available for a new installation.

You can register to receive updates and learn about eligibility requirements through the state’s official website.

6. What Happened to the Federal $2,000 Heat Pump Tax Credit?

You may have seen advertisements promising federal tax credits of up to $2,000 for new heat pumps or $600 for qualifying central air conditioners.

Those incentives were previously available under the federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit.

However, the IRS confirms that this federal tax credit is no longer available for qualifying equipment placed in service after December 31, 2025.

If you installed eligible equipment during 2025, you may still qualify for the credit on your applicable 2025 tax return, depending on your circumstances.

For homeowners considering an installation in 2026, it’s important not to rely on outdated advertisements promising a federal tax credit that has expired.

Other utility rebates and state-administered incentive programs may still provide savings.

7. Additional Ways to Lower Your Air Conditioning Costs

Not every opportunity to save requires a rebate or government program.

Sometimes the best savings come from improving the efficiency of the equipment you already own.

Have your ductwork inspected. Leaky or poorly insulated air ducts can waste cooled air, forcing your system to work harder than necessary.

Improve insulation. Proper attic insulation reduces heat entering your home, potentially lowering cooling costs.

Consider a programmable or smart thermostat. Better temperature scheduling can reduce unnecessary cooling when your home is unoccupied.

Keep your AC system clean. Dirty coils, clogged filters, and blocked condensate drains can reduce performance and contribute to costly breakdowns.

Ask about financing. Florida Comfort Systems offers financing options for qualifying Carrier HVAC purchases through its relationship with Wells Fargo Financial National Bank. Financing can help spread the cost of a necessary replacement over time, subject to credit approval and applicable terms.

And remember, the most expensive AC system isn’t necessarily the best one for your home. Proper sizing, professional installation, and reliable maintenance are essential to achieving long-term value.

Why Florida Comfort Systems Believes in Repairing Before Replacing

Since 1985, Florida Comfort Systems has served homeowners throughout Naples and Southwest Florida with a straightforward philosophy:

If your air conditioner can be repaired economically and continue operating reliably, we’ll tell you.

Our NATE-certified technicians are not paid commissions, and we don’t believe in pressuring customers into unnecessary equipment replacements.

When a new system really is the best solution, we’ll explain your options, review applicable rebates, and help you select equipment that fits your home and budget.
